DIY face masks are not only inexpensive but also free of chemical additives that are often contained in commercial products. It is essential to pay attention to high-quality and organic ingredients. Making your own face masks has the advantage of knowing exactly which ingredients are applied to the skin. It is also fun to get creative and combine different elements to create the perfect mask for your skin needs.

Here are some simple and effective DIY recipes:

Yoghurt-Honey Mask

This mask is perfect for hydrating the skin and giving it a radiant glow. To make it, mix one tablespoon of natural yoghurt with one teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture evenly to cleansed face and leave it on for about 15 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water. The yoghurt has a cooling effect and soothes red and blemished skin. The honey has an anti-inflammatory effect and makes the skin supple. After use, the skin will feel soft, hydrated and refreshed.

Avocado Oatmeal Mask

Avocado is rich in healthy fats and vitamins that nourish and condition the skin. Oatmeal has a soothing and gentle exfoliating effect. To make the mask, mash half a ripe avocado and mix it with a tablespoon of oatmeal and a teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture to the face and leave on for 20 minutes. Then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Sugar and Lemon Juice Exfoliating Mask

This mask is ideal for removing dead skin cells and making the skin glow. The juice of half a lemon is mixed with a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of olive oil. Then gently apply the mixture to the face in circular motions and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Green Tea Honey Mask

Green tea is known for its antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radical damage. Loose tea leaves from organic farming are best for the mask. First, boil a cup of tea, using only about 40 to 50 ml for the DIY face mask. Allow the tea to steep sufficiently - about 15 to 20 minutes. Then mix the tea water with two tablespoons of honey. The consistency should not be too liquid so that it can be easily applied to the face. Depending on your preference, the overcooked tea leaves can be crushed and added to the finished mixture. Leave the face mask on the skin for 15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Banana-Yoghurt Mask

Bananas contain vitamins and minerals that nourish and soften the skin. Mix a ripe banana with a tablespoon of yoghurt and a teaspoon of honey. Apply the mixture generously to the face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water.
