The exciting thing about every <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/categories/fashion-week">Fashion Week</a>? It's a bit like getting your horoscope for the year if you're an <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/categories/astrology">astrology</a> fan - you're eagerly waiting to find out what the (fashion) future holds! This week Menswear Fashion Week took place in Milan and, as always, gave us a glimpse of what to expect in terms of men's fashion next summer. At Emporio Armani, it's flowing fabrics, sophisticated cuts and muted colours.

The word essence is defined as the foundation, the core or the inner nature of something. What is the fundamental essence of Emporio Armani? This is precisely the question that the collection creatively addresses. It was about returning to the original core of the brand and creating something new from there. The idea behind it: to use the quintessence as a source of inspiration and thus create a collection that is one hundred percent Emporio <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/tags/armani">Armani</a> and yet at the same time new, different and unique.

Emporio Armani stands for both contemporary and <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/fashion/3-fashion-advantages-of-getting-older">timeless style</a>. The brand tries to live up to the aspiration of uniting these two opposites again and again with each collection. This time by returning to its own history and its own beginnings. This idea of timeless and equally modern fashion not only plays a role in the creative concept, but is also implemented visually. A stylised ginkgo leaf adorns numerous pieces as a print or application. The ginkgo leaf symbolises elegance and durability and is thus a metaphor for the <a href="https://www.lofficiel.at/en/tags/style">style</a> DNA of the brand Emporio Armani. For this, you have to know that ginkgo trees have been around for millions of years. They have literally survived the passing of time and have always adapted to new living conditions. That's why they stand for durability and adaptability in equal measure. In the case of Emporio Armani, this sends a simple message: "We keep up with the times and yet remain true to ourselves."

Apart from the ginkgo leaf, there are no other motifs or patterns that appear in the collection. It is indeed a collection that has been reduced to the essentials. Nevertheless, it is by no means boring. It is above all the flowing fabrics and refined cuts that make this collection so interesting. The flowing silhouettes show men's fashion in a whole new (and great) way. Lightness meets sophistication here. The fabrics are indeed worth a second look: shiny and shimmering, they look very classy, but the whole thing is loosened up by the fact that the collection is predominantly held in dark, muted colours. The black is contrasted by accents and garments in white and sandy tones. In addition, the designs are infused with Eastern and North African influences.
