A new capsule collection reinvents three iconic Serpenti watches, thanks to the majestic beauty of amethyst.

Maison Bvlgari has always been known for its bold use of colored stones, combining precious stones and precious stones in unexpected combinations. Today, Bvlgari draws on its history as a charismatic Roman jeweler to re-enchant three of its most iconic Serpenti jewelery watches.

Since the dawn of time, the amethyst has many attributes and meanings. Associated with trust, intuition and spirituality, it is worn for its protective and soothing virtues. Adored in ancient Egypt, as early as 4000 BC, the amethyst embodies power. Greco-Roman antiquity uses it to adorn the crowns, scepters and rings of sovereigns and high clergy. Bvlgari has a long love affair with amethyst - chiseling it into signature House sizes and setting it with diamonds, gold and other colored stones to create captivating pieces.

Today, the purple continues to fascinate; Pantone chose the Ultra-Violet shade as the Color of the Year 2018.

For this new capsule, three characteristic watches represent three different facets of Serpenti - and three interpretations of femininity. Serpenti Amethyst illustrates the eternal renewal symbolized by the serpent, as well as the abundant creativity that inspires Bvlgari motifs. These watches are jewels as much as timepieces - and there is a style that fits every woman.

The Serpenti Misteriosi Bangle has appeared in 2016. This year&#39;s limited edition is set with baguette trimmed amethysts to evoke snake scales and pear-cut amethysts.

The Serpenti Scaglie watch debuted in 2009 and was instantly raised to iconic status with its wrist-wrapped bracelet and serpent-shaped box. It is reinterpreted with suede amethysts set on rose gold and enhanced by brilliant- cut diamonds to resemble scaglie, the Italian word for scales . The 126 amethysts represent a total weight of 6.65 carats. The violet of the hands forms a striking contrast with the white nacre of the dial.

The Serpenti Incantati was launched in 2016. Its new interpretation features a pink gold case set with diamonds and 33 amethysts for a total of 2.45 carats. The alligator strap and needles are also embellished with a deep, intense violet hue.
