Paris, 10th of July – Ukrainian charitable foundation Way of Peace held a charity dinner in Paris, the second event of the worldwide series, and collected €165,000 for Ukrainian defense.
The Charity Dinner is launched by a Ukrainian beauty entrepreneur and well-known influencer Alla Baranovska and is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The international fundraising initiative aspires to raise awareness about Ukraine and collect funds to help the Ukrainian defense. At the same time, the soirée connects guests with Ukrainian culture and traditions through music, national cuisine, and art.
The сhefs Olga Martynovska and Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi, MasterChef judges in Ukraine, immersed the guests in the Ukrainian culinary traditions through a nine-course menu, including modern interpretations: palyanitsa bread, borsch, Kyiv-style carp, mini Holubtsi and more. Also, the French chef Yannick Alléno joined in hosting the dinner exclusively for the Paris event. Yannick Alléno is a legendary figure in the culinary world, the owner of six Michelin stars throughout his career and manager of the Pavillon Ledoyen restaurants, which also includes L'Abyss, where the event took place.
The sold tickets and event auction enabled the gathering of €165,000: the guests bought lots from the Ukrainian football national team, Ukrainian artists, and books signed by french writer Frédéric Beigbeder, who also attended the event.
The dinner was initiated by Alla Baranovska and Alisa Homer, ambassadors of the Way of Peace. They had to leave their homes for the second time, and in 2014, they had to flee from Donetsk. The next event will take place on Cote d’Azur in August 2022. Tickets are soon available on the Way of Peace website.
